California Board of Behavioral Sciences, (www.bbs.ca.gov) the State agency that licenses and monitors Psychologists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists.  To verify a license, click on "Licensee Information," and then on "Verify License."   My license number is MFC 17137.

American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, (www.asch.net) the most reputable organization of mental health professionals who use hypnosis.  Click on "Looking for a Referral."

The Milton H. Erickson Foundation,  (www.erickson-foundation.org) provides information, training, and conferences around the world.  Dr. Erickson's work provides the framework for virtually all hypnosis done today.

California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists,  (www.camft.org) the professional association for MFTs.

www.CounselingCalifornia.com.  CAMFT's  site for information about counseling and for locating counselors in your area.  I have a little blurb there.

In my mind, the best introductory book is Hypnosis for Change, by Josie Hadley.  It has an accurate and readable explanation of what hypnosis is and how it helps people reach their goals.  It also contains lots of scripts which you can use for self-hypnosis.  Readily available in most bookstores.
